Light Field Photography:
The beginning of this month the Lytro camera company made the first major camera update design since cheap photography was created. The camera update is sold for $399 or more depending on the place its being sold. The company is trying to make more options that just refocusing the camera they are trying to make 3-d images at home. The camera records the angle at which rays of light arrive. This invention is called the light-field camera. Although they existed before this they have never been cheap enough for consumers to purchase. What made the cameras so expensive was that there are multiple lenses, but now the makers say that putting a low cost plastic film that has tiny microleses on the top of the digital sensor count make it detect the direction of the light. Something in the future that they are working on is being able to focus the camera after taking a picture. Future technology is going to be improved greatly. I’m not sure exactly how it could be considering how it is right now but someone will find a way. Maybe one thing is that they will make the cameras print right when you take the picture. One thing that surprised me is how they are still trying to better cameras. Also with the price coming down everyone will want to camera, as the price drops more people will be purchasing it. Cameras are already amazing and to think that they are getting better is beyond me.
